Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on the margins of the OSCE Ministerial Council Meeting in Vilnius held bilateral meetings with the British and Georgian foreign ministers, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said today.
The meeting with British Foreign Secretary William Hague discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation and its prospects. The parties discussed issues of cooperation in economic and energy spheres, as well as in international organizations and UN Security Council.
British Foreign Secretary expressed his satisfaction with signing of documents between Azerbaijan and Turkey on gas sale and transit.
At a meeting with the Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze issues of bilateral and regional cooperation, as well as cooperation within GUAM and the energy sector were discussed.
The 18th Meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council is underway in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister also met with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier, Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Eamon Gilmore and the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunya Mijatovic, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
The sides discussed the issues of the country's cooperation with the OSCE.
