Turnout 78 percent in Kazakhstan elections at Baku Embassy

Voting in Kazakhstan's parliamentary elections at the country's embassy in Baku is completed, the counselor of the Kazakh Embassy to Azerbaijan Dastan Suleimenov told Trend Sunday over phone.

Voting in Kazakhstan's parliamentary elections at the country's embassy in Baku is completed, the counselor of the Kazakh Embassy to Azerbaijan Dastan Suleimenov told Trend Sunday over phone.

78 percent of the voters registered at the polling station have participated in the elections, said Suleimenov.

The polling station No 140 was created for Kazakh citizens staying in Azerbaijan. The voting was held from 7:00 to 20:00 local time.

The elections to Majilis and maslikhats have been held today in Kazakhstan. The preliminary election results will be announced on January 16.

The Nur Otan national-democratic party, Adilet, Kazakhstan Patriots' Party, Nationwide social-democratic party, Ak Zhol, Communist People's Party of Kazakhstan and the Kazakh Social Democratic Party Auyl are taking part in the elections.
