According to unofficial information a 23-year-old Azerbaijani killed during military operation in Pakistan was a student of the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Pakistan told Trend on Monday.
During the operation carried out by the Pakistani military, five Mujahideen were killed, including 23-year-old Khaghani Imamverdiev, media reported.
Imamverdiyev illegally lived in the mountainous region in Waziristan (the Northwest of Pakistan) bordering Afghanistan -which beyond the control of local authorities, the embassy reported with reference to the Pakistani law-enforcement agencies.
Imamverdiyev will be buried in the same region.
The report said Imamverdiev, who was accused of evading military service, was searched for by the Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies.
