Azerbaijani ambassador delivers credentials to South African president

Azerbaijani Ambassador to South Africa Elkhan Polukhov has delivered his credentials to South African President Jacob Zuma on Feb. 1.

During the conversation, Polukhov conveyed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's greetings to his counterpart Zuma. He stressed that it is an honor for him to be the first ambassador to South Africa, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said today.

Stressing that the ties between the two countries are developing, Polukhov said he will make every effort to strengthen relations between Azerbaijan and South Africa.

Zuma wished success to the diplomat.

After meeting with other foreign ambassadors who presented their credentials, Zuma delivered a speech on South Africa's domestic and foreign policy.
