President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Prime Minister of Albania Sali Berisha.
The Head of State recalled his meetings with the Albanian Premier at different international events.
President Aliyev said Mr. Berisha`s first visit to Baku would contribute to expanding the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Albania.
The Azerbaijani leader expressed hope the two countries` ties would further develop.
President Aliyev stressed the importance of the decisions to be made and documents to be signed during the visit in terms of bringing the two countries closer to each other.
The Prime Minister of Albania said it was a great honor for him to be visiting Azerbaijan.
Mr. Berisha said Albanians considered Azerbaijan a friendly country.
He said his visit was aimed at developing the existing friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Albania.
The Albanian Premier stressed the importance of high-level reciprocal visits in terms of strengthening the bilateral relations, expressing hope such visits would continue in future.
Following the meeting the Azerbaijani President and the Albanian Premier responded to a question from a journalist of the Public Television.
President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Sali Berisha then had a joint dinner.
