CEC final report: Berdymuhamedov elected Turkmen President

Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov was elected to the post of President of Turkmenistan, receiving the maximum number of votes, which was confirmed by a special resolution, the chairman of the CEC of the country Orazmurad Niyazlyev said at a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

The solemn ceremony of inauguration of Berdymukhamedov to a new five-year term is scheduled for Friday, February 17.
