Azerbaijani, Turkish Interior Ministers discuss cooperation

A delegation led by Turkish Minister of Internal Affairs Idris Naim Sahin arrived in Azerbaijan on a 2-day visit on invitation of Azerbaijani Minister of Internal Affairs Ramil Usubov, the Azerbaijani ministry’s press-service told Trend.

A delegation led by Turkish Minister of Internal Affairs Idris Naim Sahin arrived in Azerbaijan on a 2-day visit on invitation of Azerbaijani Minister of Internal Affairs Ramil Usubov, the Azerbaijani ministry's press-service told Trend.

Mr Usubov met with delegation led by Mr Sahin on Thursday.

During the meeting, Interior Minister of Azerbaijan noted that existing between the two countries relations of strategic partnership and brotherhood will continue to deepen.

It was noted that great attention is paid to developing relations between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan and Turkish law enforcement agencies in both bilateral and multilateral basis.

Mr Usubov expressed his confidence that this visit will give impetus to the expansion of further cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey Idris Naim Sahin expressed gratitude for the hospitality and said that the Turkish-Azerbaijani relations have no analogue in the bilateral relations of other countries.

Mr Sahin also expressed his satisfaction over rapid development, stability in Azerbaijan and noted the importance of further development of mutually fruitful cooperation.

During the meeting the sides discussed a number of other issues.
