OSCE PA session holding in Baku in 2014 supported

Azerbaijan's initiative to hold the spring session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in 2014 in Baku has received support. The session which will be dedicated to economic issues, will consider several projects proposed by Azerbaijan, deputy chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament and head of the Azerbaijani delegation to OSCE PA Bahar Muradova told reporters at a press-conference on the outcome of the OSCE PA winter session on Tuesday.
Information about the development and current state of Azerbaijan will be sent to the member States of the OSCE PA, Ms Muradova noted.
She said earlier that the chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Oktay Asadov had sent a formal proposal to the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Petros Efthymiou to hold the OSCE PA spring session in 2014 in Baku.
At the same time Ms Muradova invited her European colleagues to the 57th Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Baku in May and noted that this representative event is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the culture, customs, traditions, national values and hospitality of the Azerbaijani people.
The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly winter session ended in Vienna on February 24.
