Azerbaijan, as chairman of the UN Security Council and as a country that has suffered from terrorism, intends to organize a high-level meeting on The terrorist attacks as a threat to international peace and security.
Azerbaijan, as a nonpermanent member of UN Security Council, will preside over this prestigious structure during the month since May 1.
Azerbaijan intends to raise such important issues as processes in the Middle East, Africa and the Balkans, peace and security, combating terrorism during the presidency, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan said on Tuesday.
It is planned to hold various meetings to discuss the global challenges during the period of presidency of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan was elected non-permanent member of UN Security Council for two years on October 24, 2011.
