A student at the Political Science Faculty of American University of Montana Stephen Babbitt was awarded with Heydar Aliyev Premium for achievements in research on Azerbaijan. The premium was established by the Azerbaijani Consulate General in Los Angeles in connection with the 89th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev's birthday.
The event was held at the Faculty of Political Science of the University in Bozeman. Employee of the Consulate General Ramil Gurbanov awarded Babbitt with the premium, the Consulate General in Los Angeles told Trend today.
Gurbanov spoke about Heydar Aliyev's great merits in strengthening the independence and statehood of Azerbaijan. id that today successfully continued.
The policy of Azerbaijan's development and modernization has been sucessfully continued today. The foundation was laid by the great leader.
He stressed that Babbitt visited Azerbaijan within the Summer School on Energy and Environment called "New Silk Road," organized by Professor Thomas Goltz. He showed great activity in his research.
Expressing deep gratitude for the appreciation of his work, Babbitt said he will continue studying Azerbaijan.
