The Georgian President expressed readiness during the meeting with OSCE PA president Petros Efthymiou in Batumi to improve the pre-election sphere.

The meeting took place within the OSCE PA Economic Forum in Batumi. About 200 delegates from 40 European countries attend it.

"We would like the great number of international observers, including the OSCE PA members to arrive before the elections," Saakashvili said. "We want to get advice before the elections. The advice will enable us to improve the pre-election sphere to conduct the most transparent elections."

He said that there are people in Georgia who claim that the elections will be held under unequal terms and will be closed.

"We want to answer them that we are ready to cooperate with international institutions and will do everything to hold just elections for no one to have any questions," the Georgian president said. "This is the issue of our security."

Efthymiou recognized Georgia's merits while building a new economy and democracy.

He stressed that the country was able to successfully move forward. He expressed readiness to assist Georgia in holding the parliamentary elections.

Efthymiou expressed concern over Russia's exercises "Caucasus", planned to be held simultaneously with the elections in Georgia.
