First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended Maiden`s Tower international art festival ending event (PHOTO)

The third Giz Galasi international art festival has wrapped up here today in the Kicik Karvansaray, Icheri Sheher.
The ceremony was attended by First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.
The event is co-organized by Icheri Sheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve Department , Modern Art Museum and Giz Galasi painting gallery and initiated by Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The Giz Galasi third international art festival aims to popularize Maiden`s Tower. The festival brought together over 30 painters from 24 countries.
Unlike previous festivals, the gazelle model was prepared as part of the International Dialogue for Environmental Action to draw the attention to the Caucasus Big Five endangered animals.
Mehriban Aliyeva`s and Leyla Aliyeva`s items in the exhibition were praised by the event attendees.
Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva spoke at the event.
She welcomed the participants to th Great FIve exhibition held as part of the Giz Galasi third international art festival.
"Today we are exhibiting here one of the most beautiful and endangered animal in Azerbaijan and South Caucasus," she said.
She also touched upon the joint project of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology to return gazelles their natural habitat.
Aliyeva told of discovery of nests of a swift migrant bird and building new ones for them as part of the joint project of IDEA and Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve.
