Georgia continues to step by step, work with the alliance, because NATO is a major factor in foreign relations of Georgia and nobody and nothing can change the decision of Georgia, the Georgian people to be a member of NATO, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Grigol Vashadze said on Monday after meeting with Special Representative of the Secretary General of NATO in the South Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai.
"We had a wonderful meeting. Georgia expressed its gratitude, as the Chicago summit was another step forward. I recall that at the summit, we have achieved several significant results. First of all, Georgia was the only country that has participated in all formats in which the country - members of NATO were presented. As for the final document, it reflects all we were interested in, emphasized the contributions we have made in the NATO peacekeeping operation. Alliance expressed appreciation for our contribution to ISAF operation and for the progress we have achieved in social, political and economic development " Vashadze said.
