Trial of Azerbaijani poets arrested in Iran appointed on August 7, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Elman Abdullayev told Trend.
Iranian side informed representative of the Consulate General of Azerbaijan about the trial date. According to Abdullaev, poets met today with members of their families in Tabriz with the participation of representatives of the Azerbaijani Consulate General.

Two Azerbaijani citizens Farid Huseyn and Shahriyar Hajizade were detained in Iran on May 2.
Azerbaijani side has sent five notes to Iran's Foreign Ministry demanding clarification of the situation with the two missing men.
According to its response to Azerbaijan's note, the two citizens are accused of attempting to commit a crime.
