In today's world witnessing complex, global political and economic processes, the diaspora organizations are entrusted with great tasks to protect the national interests of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Social and Political Department Head Ali Hasanov said at the "Integration into the community of Azerbaijanis living abroad: current status and future prospects" forum in Bodrum, Turkey.

Hasanov stressed that the Azerbaijani state has always taken into consideration the interests of the compatriots living abroad, the State Committee on Diaspora said on Tuesday.

"The purpose of such events is to achieve establishment of cooperation between the Azerbaijanis living abroad, to be well informed about problems and concerns of our fellow citizens, and to find solutions to them. This forum once again proves that Azerbaijani state is a reliable protector of every Azerbaijani," Hasanov said.

Hasanov appreciated the importance of discussions held during the forum and noted that all proposals voiced here have been recorded, and each of them will be considered. He also noted the importance of active cooperation with diaspora organizations of Azerbaijani students studying abroad.

Ongoing discussions and adopted documents will further strengthen the Azerbaijani diaspora, he assured.

"We cannot give instructions to any of diaspora organizations and make decisions in connection with their activities. We can only advise and support you in the implementation of decisions. We want to unite the world Azerbaijanis so that Diaspora can become an even stronger and more organized force," Hasanov said.

Hasanov noted that he was pleased with the outcome of the forum.
