President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today accepted credentials of newly appointed ambassador of Bulgaria Maya Khristova.
The Ambassador passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.
President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with Maya Khristova.
She conveyed greetings of Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev and Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to the Head of State.
Khristova said she was honored to start her diplomatic activity in Azerbaijan.
On behalf of the Bulgarian President, the ambassador invited President Ilham Aliyev to visit Bulgaria.
The Head of State said bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria were developing successfully.
The Azerbaijani leader noted the two countries enjoy big potential to expand bilateral cooperation even more.
They underlined there were good opportunities to develop bilateral ties in the fields of energy and infrastructure.
President Aliyev asked Maya Khristova to deliver his greetings to Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev and Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.
