The President of Georgia, together with the Chairman of Adjara government was in the village of Tamar on Monday. Mikheil Saakashvili inspected the construction of social housing, which is carried out in Batumi, on the initiative of the Government of Adjara.
The construction of two nine-storey buildings for 112 apartments began in June and will be completed on December 20.
It should be noted that seizures of buildings in Tbilisi by the socially needy persons became frequent in the last days.
Saakashvili noted that the Georgian authorities intended to build several high-rise buildings in Batumi to resettle people living in the barracks.
"Now the new government, without slowing, should carry through these commitments and to improve the living conditions of the people," he said.
