German Deputy Foreign Minister, MP Cornelia Piper will arrive in Azerbaijan today, the German embassy in Azerbaijan said today.
Piper, as well as head of the department of the German Ministry of Economics and Technology Dr. Karl-Ernst Brauner and Dr. Volker Treier representing the German Chamber of Commerce, together with Azerbaijani Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev will participate at the opening of the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce.
Piper will hold official meetings with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev. She will also hold discussions with civilian representatives. She made this statement on Nov. 9.
The German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce about to be opened in Baku will be the second chamber in the CIS after a similar one in Moscow. Germany expresses its gratitude to Azerbaijan's dynamic economic development which turned it into a regional leader for several years.
Azerbaijan is Germany's important partner in the region still facing big geopolitical challenges. This dialogue also covers civilian topics, the German embassy said.
