Baku hosts 40th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC PA).
Vice-President of the BSEC PA Asef Hajiyev said approval of the minutes of the previous meeting, consideration of new mandates, acceptance of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries (TurkPA) as an observer in the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, and report on participation of the organization representatives in international events were tabled.
Hajiyev said Georgia and Greece formed new national representations after the elections since the 39th General Assembly.
The letter of the Secretary General of TurkPA Ramil Hasanov, addressed to the leadership of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation was read at the meeting. After discussions TurkPA was admitted to the organization as an observer.
40th session of the General Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation will begin on November 27 in the plenary hall of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
