Azerbaijani top presidential aide says appointment of his deputies due to big workload

Appointing deputy heads of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration is explained by the big volume of workload and promoting heads of the departments, Head of Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev told media today.
"There is no other purpose," he said. "It is only about the big amount of workload and promotions."
Last week, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to appoint head of the foreign relations department Novruz Mammadov, head of the department for work with the regional administration and local self-government Zeynal Nagdaliyev, the president's assistants on economic affairs Ali Asadov and on military issues Vahid Aliyev as deputies of the head of the Presidential Administration.
"They keep their positions and at the same time they will work as deputies of the head of Azerbaijani Presidential Administration," Mehdiyev said.
