Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, who is on an official visit to Brussels, attended a meeting of the foreign ministers of the countries participating in the mission of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).
The issues of the current condition of the ISAF and financial support for military forces in Afghanistan since 2014 were discussed.
Mammadyarov met with British Foreign Secretary William Hague in the frame of the event.
The issues of cooperation in various fields were discussed during the meeting. The sides expressed satisfaction with the bilateral cooperation in the frame of the UN Security Council and also discussed current issues on the agenda of the Security Council.
Hague praised the cooperation between Azerbaijan and NATO, and thanked for the support of Azerbaijan in a special operation in Afghanistan.
The meeting also discussed the prospects of future relations between the EU and Azerbaijan.
