PM of Georgia: No political persecution to take place in country

Foreign journalists were interested in status of the cohabitation process in Georgia and possible existence of selective justice. Questions asked by journalists were mainly covering relations with previous government and possible selective justice, said Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili after the meeting with foreign journalists.

Foreign journalists were interested in status of the cohabitation process in Georgia and possible existence of selective justice. Questions asked by journalists were mainly covering relations with previous government and possible selective justice, said Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili after the meeting with foreign journalists.

"I convinced them that Georgia is in the process of justice recovery. No selective justice and political persecution will take place in the country. Economy and relations with various countries, including Russia, also were amongst topics discussed", - said the Prime Minister.

The meeting was held in "Ambasadori" hotel, behind closed doors and lasted about two hours. Delegation of 21 people, including representatives of the Berliner Zeitung, Independent, The Daily Telegraph, Le Temps, France 24, Le Figaro, TV TF-1, and other media attended this meeting.

The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister's Special Representative for Relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze.
