Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade accused a number of international organisations of taking a biased attitude towards Azerbaijan.
"Azerbaijan hopes for a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within international law. However, it feels there is a biased attitude by a number of international organisations, including 'Freedom House' which do not make any effort to prosecute a country that committed one of the biggest tragedies in history, the Khojaly genocide," Pashazade said during the First Baku Forum 'State and Religion: strengthening tolerance in a changing world', on Wednesday.
He said at a time when human rights are being violated in European countries, terrorism and extremism rage, formation of biased public opinion by some European international organisations are not included in any frame.
The press is not independent in Azerbaijan, the Internet is partially free. This is the conclusion that the Freedom House human rights organisation made in its report which was made public yesterday.
