President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili has today been given an official welcome in Azerbaijan.
A guard of honor was lined up for the Georgian President at the square decorated with the national flags of the two countries.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva welcomed Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and his spouse Sandra Elisabeth Roelofs.
The Heads of State passed the ceremonial Guard of Honor as an orchestra played the national anthems of Serbia and Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani state and government officials were introduced to President Mikheil Saakashvili, while members of the Georgian delegation introduced themselves to President Ilham Aliyev.
The Presidents and their spouses later posed for photographs.
