The decision to establish a special commission on gambling was adopted at a meeting of the Parliamentary Commission of Sector Economy and Economic Policy in Georgia.
The parliament receives many demands to ban gambling from non-governmental organizations and individuals, so it was decided to create a commission that will work on the issue, the deputy chairman of the commission Paata Kvijinadze said on Friday.
"The commission will include representatives of organizations with different views on this issue, experts and specialists. The aim of the future commission is the development of proposals for the corresponding bill," Kvijinadze stated.
