The Azerbaijani ruling New Azerbaijan Party plans to choose delegates for its congress in June, Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling party Siyavush Novruzov told Trend today.
"About 30 percent of city and district organizations of the ruling party were changed," he said. "Chairmen and members of the councils were replaced and the staff of the boards was changed. After the representatives are chosen, a decision on the date of the Congress will be made."
He added that the ruling party continues preparing for the presidential elections.
"Today we met with chairmen of Baku's organizations," he said. "The instructions were given to chairmen of city and regional organizations. The ruling party continues operating in connection with the election program. Naturally, the ruling party's strategy is changed every year. The new technologies are used at every elections."
The presidential elections are planned to be held in Azerbaijan this autumn.
