President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received a Canadian delegation led by Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, chairman of the Canada-Azerbaijan Friendship Group Barry Devolin.
Barry Devolin said it was his second visit to Azerbaijan, adding that he had eye-witnessed big development processes in Baku since his last visit.
During the meeting, the sides noted there was big potential for expansion of relations on different fronts, including in the fields of economy, politics and interparliamentary cooperation.
The Azerbaijani President and the Canadian Deputy Speaker stressed the importance of reciprocal visits in terms of strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.
They also discussed prospects for Azerbaijan-Canada cooperation.
