NATO appreciates Azerbaijan's support for the peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan, Romanian ambassador and NATO coordinator in Azerbaijan Daniel Cristian Ciobanu said during the NATO International School of Azerbaijan (NİSA) summer session in Baku on Monday.
Mutual visits of high-ranking representatives of both sides during this period made an invaluable contribution towarsd the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the alliance, the diplomat said.
Azerbaijan is the first country which is a non-NATO member, announced that it would continue to support Afghanistan after 2014, Ciobanu said.
