Azerbaijan, Baku, August 6 / Trend E. Mehdiyev /
Several parties represented in the National Council may separately participate in the upcoming presidential elections, chairman of the opposition Citizens and Development Party Ali Aliyev said today.
The parties do not deprive themselves of the prospects of participation in the elections, Aliyev told Trend today.
"As far as the prospect of registering a single candidate from the National Council disappears, the internal confrontation intensified," he added. "I think that depending on the situation in the National Council, the relations will become more acute."
Perhaps, if a problem arises in connection with the registration of a single candidate from the National Council, the National Council will no longer exist in the same staff during the registration period on the eve of the elections. "It seems to me that the National Council will participate in the elections with Rustam Ibrahimbayov or will not participate at all."
"In this case, the parties, waiting for something from the elections, will take the decision to participate in the elections, while others will prefer to boycott the elections," he added. "In any case, this can be assumed."
