The Egyptian government decided to ban Muslim Brotherhood's activity in the country on September 6, the Egyptian newspaper Al-Akbar said today.

According to the newspaper, the country's government has not yet made an official statement on the issue.

The arrests of the members of "Muslim Brotherhood" movement began after ex-President Mohamed Morsi was overthrown as a result of the military coup. Morsi himself, as well as Muslim Brotherhood leaders were in the Cairo prison. He is accused of collaboration with Hamas and escape from prison in 2011.

The Muslim Brotherhood has been outlawed in Egypt for decades. Only after Hosni Mubarak's regime fell, it appeared in the world as a well-organized political force.
