Some 230 representatives of the Iranian parliament released a statement in which they expressed their support for Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's speech at the UN General Assembly in New York, the Young Journalists Club website said.
Members of Iranian parliament evaluated Rouhani's speech at the UN as logical and decisive, and noted that this speech and position was corresponding to the values of Islamic Revolution.
"During his speech, Hassan Rouhani presented Iran as an Islamic, peace-loving country that supports talks and is capable of cooperating in the settlement of international problems. We are thankful to him for this," the statement said.
Parliamentarians also expressed hope that the states that imposed sanctions against Iran will cancel them, and recognize and respect the Iranian people's rights.
