Baku, Azerbaijan, Nov. 11
By Rahim Zamanov - Trend: The International Atomic Energy Agency is committed to resolve outstanding issues regarding Iran's nuclear program through dialogue, the head of the IAEA Yukiya Amano said on Monday in Tehran, IRINN reported on Nov. 11.
He made the remarks at a joint press conference with the Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Ali Akbar Salehi.
Amano further emphasized that talks between Tehran and IAEA are independent of nuclear talks underway in Geneva.
It should be noted that three-day talks were previously held between Iran and P5+1 in Geneva.
For his part, Salehi said that Tehran has shown its full commitment to International Atomic Energy Agency's Safeguards Agreement.
Salehi also expressed hope that two sides come to a mutual understanding on a roadmap for cooperation.
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said earlier that Iran and the IAEA are finalizing a new framework for cooperation which he hopes will be inked during Amano's visit.
