Azerbaijani president receives credentials of incoming Pakistani ambassador (PHOTO)

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today accepted credentials of newly-appointed Pakistani ambassador Khalid Usman Qaiser.
The ambassador passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.
President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with the diplomat.
The head of state hailed relations between the two countries and peoples as friendly and fraternal.
The Azerbaijani president expressed confidence that these relations will continue to strengthen during Khalid Usman Qaiser`s tenure.
President Ilham Aliyev said political ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan have been developing successfully.
The head of state expressed hope that the Azerbaijan-Pakistan bonds will be expanded in a variety of fields, including economic, cultural and humanitarian ones.
The president stressed the importance of enhancing the bilateral ties in terms of development of the regional cooperation.
President Ilham Aliyev lauded the two countries` mutual support within international organizations, including the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Khalid Usman Qaiser conveyed greetings of Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to the head of state.
The diplomat said he will spare no efforts to contribute to strengthening the Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations, the foundations of which had been laid by world renowned politician and statesman Heydar Aliyev.
The ambassador praised the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s humanitarian projects implemented in Pakistan.
Khalid Usman Qaiser said Pakistan had always supported Azerbaijan`s fair stance on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The president and the diplomat exchanged views over development of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan ties in various areas, including industry, military-technical cooperation, defence, pharmaceutics, information and communication technologies, and mutual investment making.
The head of state asked Khalid Usman Qaiser to pass on his greetings to the Pakistani president and the premier.
