The Botswana Parliament is interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan, Speaker of the National Assembly (Parliament) of the country Margaret Nasha said on Feb. 26 at a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, who is on a visit to this country, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Feb. 26.
During the meeting, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister informed the Speaker of Botswana's Parliament about the country's economy and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Mammadyarov also stressed that there are good prospects for cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries, according to the report.
Mammadyarov is touring several African countries.
