Ukraine's pre-default state is due to destabilization of inter-political situation and losing Russia as an important economic partner, Viktor Yanukovych, who declared his legitimacy as Ukraine's president, said on Feb. 28, according to RIA Novosti.
Yanukovych made the remarks at a press conference in Russian city of Rostov-on-Don.
"I believe any expert in the world will not deny the fact that the pre-default state appeared in Ukraine following the onset of destabilization of the situation, and in fact Ukraine has lost such an important partner as Russia," Yanukovych said.
