Viktor Yanukovych said that the United States and all those who patronized the Maidan movement brought Ukraine to a catastrophic situation, RIA Novosti reported on Feb. 28.
"Now I lay all responsibility on those who brought our country to this crisis, I would say, to chaos and disaster. Those who now came to power, and those who now commands over them in the Maidan, visible and invisible, including representatives of the West, the United States, who patronized the Maidan are guilty of this. Today, they are responsible before the Ukrainian people, " Yanukovych said at a press conference on Feb.28.
