Police department heads dismissed in four Turkish provinces

The head of police departments dismissed in four provinces of Turkey, the Turkish Anadolu news agency reported on March 15.

Reshufflings were implemented in the Turkish rovinces of Van, Giresun, Mugla and Sivas, according to the agency.

Recall that in January, a personnel reshufflings in Ankara and Izmir affected over 470 policemen. Numerous police were dismissed or sent to other departments in Ankara.The personnel reshufflings in Izmir affected around 12 senior police officers.

The Turkish government began to carry out personnel reshuffling in the police departments of Ankara and other cities of the country after the anti-corruption operation, which began in December 2013.

New personnel reshuffling in Turkish city of Izmir affected over 200 policemen.
