Baku, Azerbaijan, April 25
By Sabina Ahmadova - Trend:
The action planned to be held by Armenians and Assyrians in Stockholm, Sweden, in connection with the so-called genocide, failed, Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with Diaspora said on April 25.
The action failed because no one took part in it.
Even tourists remained indifferent to the action that was prepared by the Armenian Federation of Sweden and Assyrians in the central square of Stockholm.
In spite of the fact that around 5,000 Armenians and 40,000 Assyrians live in Sweden, they didn't take part in the action.
Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey's predecessor the Ottoman Empire allegedly carried out "genocide" against the Armenians living in Anatolia in 1915. While strengthening the efforts to promote the so-called genocide in the world, Armenians have achieved its recognition by the parliaments of some countries.
