The prosecutor general's offices of Azerbaijan and Moldova signed a cooperation program during the international 'Fighting corruption: international standards and national experience' conference in Baku on June 30.

The program was signed by Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov and Moldova's Prosecutor General Corneliu Gurin.

Garalov pointed out that the prosecutor general's offices of Azerbaijan and Moldova function in close cooperation; they quickly react to mutual requests.

Azerbaijan's prosecutor general stressed that the signed program will promote closer cooperation between the two agencies and will bring it to a new level.

Garalov went on to add that special attention is paid to protection of rights of Azerbaijanis living in Moldova and Moldavians living in Azerbaijan.

Gurin, for his part, said that Azerbaijanis living in Moldova are law abiding citizens.

He underscored that the bilateral relations between the two countries develop successfully.

Moldova's prosecutor general said that what he saw in Azerbaijan has exceeded his expectations.
