Another military contingent of Azerbaijani peacekeepers has departed for Afghanistan, according to a message from the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan.
Today, the "N" military unit in Baku hosted a ceremony to see off the Azerbaijani armed forces group of 30 people, who are departing for Afghanistan in a rotational manner.
The event participants wished success to the military men. They also hoped that the soldiers adequately represent Azerbaijan during their service.
Azerbaijani armed forces peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan was launched on November 20, 2002.
Today, the peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan includes 90 soldiers of Azerbaijani armed forces, two military doctors and two engineers.
