Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed his condolences to the President of France Francois Hollande regarding the death of Total company's CEO, Christophe de Margerie.
"Dear Mr. President, I am deeply shocked by the news of the death of the president, chairman of directors' board of Total Christophe de Margerie in a plane crash," said Ilham Aliyev's letter.
"In connection with this tragedy, I express my deepest condolences to you, the family and friends of the deceased," he said.
Azerbaijani president also expressed his condolences to the family of Christophe de Margerie.
Ilham Aliyev also expressed his condolences to the family of the head of Total.
"I am deeply saddened by the news of the death of the president and chairman of directors' board of Total Christophe de Margerie in a plane crash," said the president's letter of condolence. "I express my deepest condolences to you."
Christophe de Margerie was killed Oct. 21 during the take off from Moscow's Vnukovo-3 airport on the night of Oct.21. His plane crashed into the snow removal vehicle run by a drunk driver, according to preliminary data. Three crew members were killed together with de Margerie.
