The whole Azerbaijani people are celebrating the 92nd birthday anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and honor his memory, Ali Hasanov, Azerbaijani presidential aide for public and political affairs told reporters May 10.
The modern Azerbaijani state is the greatest creation of the national leader, he added.
As long as Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani people exist, Heydar Aliyev's spirit will always be with the people and the state, according to the top official.
"Therefore, this event, together with those marking the Day of Victory has turned into a nationwide event to honor the memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev," said Hasanov.
