Azerbaijani pilgrims were not injured during the tragedy that took place Sept.11 in Mecca, spokesperson of the Caucasian Muslims Office Rahima Dadashova told Trend Sept.12.
She said that during the tragedy, Azerbaijani pilgrims were in Medina.
Construction crane crashed to Masjid al-Haram in Meссa Sept.11, Al Jazeera agency reported earlier.
At least 107 people have been killed and 238 others injured after a crane collapsed in Mecca's Grand Mosque Sept.11, Saudi Arabia's civil defence authority said.
The Masjid al-Ḥaram is the largest mosque in the world and surrounds Islam's holiest place, the Kaaba, in the city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
