Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will pay a visit to Azerbaijan Nov.26 in the evening to discuss regional cooperation issues, a diplomatic source told Trend.

It is the first official visit of Cavusoglu after the approval of Turkey's new government. By tradition, Turkish ministers pay their first foreign visits to Azerbaijan.

The trade turnover between the two countries stood at $1.18 billion in Jan.-Oct. 2015, according to Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee.

Earlier, Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev said that the country's investments in Turkey's economy are expected to reach $17-20 billion by 2020.

Currently, the volume of Azerbaijani investments in this country's economy exceeds $6 billion.

Over, 2,600 Turkish companies operate in Azerbaijan, while the number of Azerbaijani companies in Turkey nears 1,600.
