Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made a phone call to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Feb. 25.
During the conversation, the presidents voiced satisfaction with the successful development of relations between Azerbaijan and Russia in all the areas.
They expressed confidence that the relations between the two countries will further strengthen at the strategic partnership level.
Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin also discussed a number of topical issues of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and the issues on international agenda.
Exchanging views on settlement of the Syrian crisis, the presidents stressed the importance of fulfilling the joint statement of Russia and the US on suspending the military operations in Syria.
During the phone conversation, the sides agreed to continue the contacts.
