Baku, Azerbaijan, Oct. 17

By Elchin Mehdiyev – Trend:

Structural changes carried out in Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers are an important step aimed at improving effectiveness of management, the country’s MP Aydin Huseynov told Trend Oct. 17.

He said that the Cabinet of Ministers is the supreme executive body, and the reforms carried out in this executive body will increase effectiveness and efficiency of the work of the structure. This, in turn, will have a positive impact on the management, he noted.

The MP added that in general, over the past years, reforms that serve to increase effectiveness and efficiency of management in a number of spheres have been implemented under the leadership of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The MP noted that the structural reforms implemented in accordance with new conditions and challenges serve to improve the management system and form an operational management mechanism.

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on Aug. 23 approving the structure of Office of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The decree sets a limit on the number of employees of the Cabinet of Ministers Office (excluding the Department for Affairs) at 200 established posts.

The limit on the number of employees of the Department for Affairs of the Cabinet of Ministers Office is to be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

If necessary, Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers can create sectors in the departments that make up the structure of its Office (or departments and sectors in the Department for Affairs).
