BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov met with a delegation led by NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy and Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Colomina on April 29, Azerbaijani MoD told Trend.
Delegation was provided with detailed information on the reforms carried out in Azerbaijani Armed Forces in accordance with the instructions of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, work carried out in country’s liberated territories from Armenian occupation, also the current situation on Azerbaijani-Armenian state border.
Hasanoc spoke about the success achieved in cooperation with NATO, noted the importance of furthermore development of bilateral ties.
Thanking Hasanov for the warm welcome, Colomina praised the close cooperation between Azerbaijani Armed Forces and Turkish Armed Forces. He emphasized that this cooperation will make a significant contribution to the relations between Azerbaijan and NATO.
Wide exchange of views took place on the prospects for the development of bilateral relations, the military-political situation in the region, also on other issues of mutual interest.
