BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 22. The supply of fuel for the social needs of Armenians in Karabakh will be provided soon, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov said at the UN Security Council meeting, Trend reports.
The long-awaited meeting of the Special Representative of the Government of Azerbaijan with representatives of the Armenians of Karabakh took place in the city of Yevlakh of Azerbaijan today, the minister said.
"At the meeting, the special representative appointed by the Government of Azerbaijan presented a summary of the Government's plans for reintegration of Karabakh Armenians into the Azerbaijani society. The issues related to the restoration and operation of infrastructure objects were also discussed. In the context of the discussion of social and humanitarian issues and at the request of the residents of Armenia, fuel is expected to be supplied for the operation of social facilities, such as kindergartens, schools, and hospitals, and other emergency services, as well as the implementation of other humanitarian support measures, which will soon be implemented by the relevant institutions of the central government," Bayramov said.
Such a dialogue has been impossible before, due to the obstacles created by the Armenian side, in particular, due to the illegal military presence on the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan, the FM explained.
