BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 26. Azerbaijan has excellent economic and trade relations with four out of its five neighboring countries, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov said during his speech at the 4th International Silk Road Forum held in Tbilisi, Trend reports.
"I want to tell the Prime Minister of Armenia that Azerbaijan expressed its position on signing a peace agreement immediately after the second Karabakh war. In accordance with the trilateral statement signed on November 10, 2020 [by Azerbaijani, Armenian and Russian leaders following the war], Azerbaijan has been working for a long time on opening communications," Asadov noted.
"We want to have the communications opened, but it depends not only on us. We are ready for this if the opposite side is willing to reciprocate. We have plenty of other opportunities," he added.
Earlier, speaking at the above forum, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that "Armenia is interested in opening all transport and communications" in the region.
