NIS, Serbia, December 10. Azerbaijan is a reliable partner, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said, Trend reports.

He made the remark during the inauguration ceremony of the Serbia-Bulgaria Gas Interconnector in Nis, Serbia

"President Ilham Aliyev was also present at the launch ceremony of the Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria. Thanks to this interconnector, Bulgaria has finally started to receive gas from Azerbaijan. I would like to express my gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev, who has demonstrated that Baku is strictly adhering to all agreements concluded 10 years ago, despite the changing geopolitical environment. I reiterate at every European level meeting that Azerbaijan is a reliable partner, and I believe that we will continue working together in this mutually beneficial manner," he said.

President Radev added that the Serbia-Bulgaria Gas Interconnector is a symbol of the growing technological capacities of our countries and a successful cooperation between Serbia, Bulgaria, and Azerbaijan.

"Today, we are not just connecting our national gas networks; the interconnection to the server is much more than an infrastructure project. It is a symbol of the growing technological capacities of our countries and a successful cooperation between Serbia, Bulgaria, and Azerbaijan. This collaboration is instrumental in fostering sustainable economic growth in our region and reflects our collective determination to build a European future together. The interconnection aligns with the ambitious vision of the EU for secure and reliable sources of energy. I firmly believe that the interconnector will attract investment interest in a broader region. I want to congratulate President Vucic; every modernization in Serbia also directly affects us in Bulgaria. It is through Serbia that we connect with Europe," the president added.
